This vegan-friendly super smoothie is chock full of antioxidants, fibre and vitamins. It’s also very easy to prepare and will have you strutting your bathing-suit-ready body down the dock in no time.

Ingredients for Spinach Blueberry and Banana Smoothie

GATHER IT UP

All of the ingredients used in the making of this smoothie are really good for us, loaded with essential vitamins and minerals. Two of them may not already be in your pantry: ground flax and wheat germ or, bran. Look for them in a health food store or the specialty baking supplies section of your supermarket.

The combination of fresh spinach, blueberries and bananas in this smoothie is pretty perfect. Feel free to play around with the quantities of each if one is more palatable than another.

Ingredients & Amounts

  • 2 cups of baby spinach, washed and rinsed
  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled
  • 2 cups of almond milk, unsweetened
  • ½ cup of blueberries, fresh
  • ½ cup of wheat germ or bran
  • 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed
  • 2 tablespoons of almond butter
  • 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
  • 2 handfuls, ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place the ice into the canister of your blender. Add the remaining ingredients.
  2. Secure the lid onto the blender and process until smoothie has an even consistency.
  3. Transfer to attractive drinking glasses and enjoy immediately!
