Whisking a favourite condiment up with oil and vinegar creates a stellar salad dressing that goes with everything. Let’s make MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE!

Don’t worry, we get it: you LOVE salad recipes as much as we do. Because salads are one of your top search queries, we’re always working to create new and delicious recipes for you to enjoy.

Some of our most popular include this crazy-easy CUCUMBER, AVOCADO AND FETA SALAD, as well as this EASY ASIAN SLAW. For those of you who enjoy a touch of fruit, try this award-winning CHICKEN WALDORF SALAD. It’s really amazing.

Of course, every great salad deserves an equally great dressing, right? This is one of my new favourites. Begs the question, who knew these five ingredients were destined to be together?

Here’s our take on a simple MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE:

Ingredients for Mustard Vinaigrette

Setting up to take the photo of the ingredients needed to make this dressing was easy. Yet, I must have gone back and forth from the sunroom to the kitchen like three or four times. I kept thinking, is that it? Sure enough, it is. Doesn’t take much to make something this delicious.

Assorted mustards

Ever played that board game CLUE? One of the characters is named Colonel Mustard, but even as a kid I cared less about who was in the library with a candlestick and more about who was in the kitchen and what type of mustard were they reaching for in the fridge. Food has always played a big role in my life!

For this recipe, you get to chose the mustard. Although I used a grain mustard in this story and the VIDEO, you should try a different mustard every time you make it. It’s amazing how different the taste is whether you’re using Dijon, prepared, honey brown or beer mustard. Have fun with this ongoing experiment!

If you’re here as much for salad dressings as you are for salad ideas, maybe give these a try too. Bet you’ll love our RANCH DRESSING or our RASPBERRY VINAIGRETTE, as well as our extremely popular ASIAN DRESSING.

Time to get your salad dressed in style with this MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE.
