Ingredients for Easy Baked Salmon

INGREDIENTS

As mentioned, this recipe doesn’t call for a ton of ingredients; seven does the trick. That said, the ones used in this recipe are all essential and will give you big, bold flavours. If we were adding a tagline to this recipe it would be; baked salmon with Asian flavours. With regard to the salmon itself, try to pick up freshly caught or organic salmon whenever available. You will taste the difference.

Salmon fillets topped with a garlic, ginger, chili sauce

SPOONING

This recipe was created with “easy” in mind. Basically, you’ll be stirring together a sauce, spooning it over fresh salmon fillets, then simply baking them for about ten minutes. This sauce is especially flavourful; be prepared to enjoy the way the grated ginger and garlic blends with the soy, brown sugar and Sriracha sauces. Can’t find Sriracha? Substitute it for garlic chili sauce. You should be able to find both in the Asian condiment section of your grocery store.

EASY BAKE

Please don’t second guess the high oven temperature – it accomplishes two things. First, it sears the outside of the fish so that the flesh gets soft and flakey, then it cooks the sauce to a pleasant crisp. All quite yummy!
