Try our ASIAN SALMON RECIPE, ready in just 15 minutes. You’re going to love it!

No joke – I make this easy salmon recipe at least once a week. With just seven ingredients and an unbelievable ten-minute cooking time, it really is the perfect on-the-quick main. Because it’s so simple, it’s also a really good option for a dinner party main course. Whether you’re making it for yourself or a group, our ASIAN SALMON RECIPE is tried and true!

The other nice thing about this recipe is the hope for leftovers. When preparing the dish, we suggest baking some additional portions. You can then store them in an airtight container and grab a portion from the fridge to add to a salad or whip up into a delicious salmon salad. This recipe really goes the distance.

Here are a few simple things to keep in mind when you go to make ASIAN SALMON RECIPE:

Ingredients for our easy Asian Salmon Recipe.

INGREDIENTS

As mentioned, this recipe doesn’t call for a ton of ingredients; seven does the trick. That said, the ones used in this recipe are all essential and will give you big, bold flavours. Of course, you can make this recipe your own so feel free to swap the green onion for scallions, the brown sugar for honey, and if the sriracha is too spicy, tone it down with toasted sesame oil and a drop of rice wine vinegar.

One important suggestion; keep backup ingredients on hand. You’ll be making this easy salmon recipe again and again.

FRESH SALMON

Using fresh salmon for this recipe is the only way to go. Salmon is a healthy main course option that’s high in protein, omega-3, and fatty acids so adding it into our meal planning is a great idea. Some of our favourite types of SALMON include Atlantic salmon, Coho and Sockeye but prepare this dish using your favourite depending on tastes. You’ll notice boneless pieces of meat referred to as filets or fillets. Both terms are correct but we use the term fillet as it’s often used in the UK and Canada.

The simple sauce stirred together

ASIAN SALMON RECIPE

This easy recipe was created with all of you busy folks in mind. Basically, you’ll be stirring together a sauce, spooning it over fresh salmon fillets, and then simply bake them for about ten minutes.

The salmon topped with the marinade ready for the oven.

This sauce or marinade is especially flavourful. We know you’ll enjoy the way the grated ginger and garlic blend with the soy, brown sugar, and Sriracha sauces. Can’t find Sriracha? Substitute it for garlic chili sauce or add a sprinkle of chillies. You should be able to find both in the Asian condiment section of your grocery store.

OVEN BAKE SALMON

Please don’t second guess the high oven temperature detailed in the instructions for this post. The high oven temperature accomplishes two things. First, it sears the outside of the fish so that the flesh gets soft and flakey. The high heat also cooks the sauce to a pleasant crisp. Just wait until you take your first bite. One thing to mention about service, the crispy salmon skin often sticks to the paper or foil allowing for the flesh of the fish to come away ready to be devoured.
