Hey everybody!

This newsletter begins with me calling for a recount! As I sit here in the sunroom at the cottage, I can’t help but recount the many fantastic things that happened over the past few months.

The countless times we hung out with friends and family, the delicious food and drink recipes we enjoyed together… and what about those sun-drenched, glorious summer days? Within each and every one of those moments is a feeling of happiness. No two ways about it, I’m counting my blessings!

Thankfully, I know even more are on the way. Here’s the scoop on some of the great stuff coming your way over the next few weeks!


Barbecued Salmon

In case you missed it, let’s do a u-ey and revisit some of the things you readers enjoyed most. Be sure to check out Michael Olson’s party-friendly SAUSAGE-STUFFED JALAPEÑOS and our BARBECUED SALMON, both great for when you have guests over. Knowing that fall colours are on the horizon in the next few weeks, how about a suggestion to hit the road and explore? Mile-high Homemade Coconut Cake

As we prepare to say farewell to summer, we’re planning to set you up for a very tasty fall. Whether you start your day with our CORNED BEEF HASH SKILLET, pack up our CHEESE BISCUITS for midday munchies, or make our WILD MUSHROOM FETTUCCINE CARBONARA, delicious eats are the goal. Lastly, I made a personal dream come true by creating my new-favourite cake just for you – who’s ready for a MILE-HIGH HOMEMADE COCONUT CAKE? Honestly, it is phenomenal!


Thanks a Million!

I’ll forever remember what happened a few weeks back. It was an early morning, Carol was in the city and I called with a simple question, “Have you seen YouTube?” Then, with her on the phone, we watched the numbers click up in realtime, both of us silent as we hit one million views. ONE MILLION! We still can’t believe it.

All of that is thanks to you. Thanks for watching our videos, subscribing to our YouTube channel and telling everyone about us. From the bottom of our humbled hearts, thanks a million!


September 2019 Newsletter

So, it’s September. As it arrives, a friendly reminder that school’s back in session and folks are heading back to work. Let’s all promise to go about our days purposefully, paying attention to our fellow pedestrians, drivers and cyclists. It’ll take a few weeks, at least, until we all settle back into the groove of things. Stay safe out there!
