Hello friends, and a big WELCOME to all of our new subscribers!

Let’s get right to it because we have tons of great news to share.

Congratulations to Christine Topley who won our Frozen Dessert Maker Giveaway in October. Thanks to everyone who participated – with so many entries, our first contest was a bit more work than we bargained for, but so fun too. And of course, you’re all worth it!

Click the video link below and discover an exciting NEW AND EXCLUSIVE YouTube feature for Weekend at the Cottage! Our channel now has a dedicated CITY SLICKER RECIPES playlist. City Slicker Recipes have been created for all of the busy people out there who still want to cook delicious food even though they’re pressed for time. These recipes use readily available ingredients prepared in an easy, straightforward manner.

As mentioned in our last newsletter, I’m off to Alberta in a few days to host Christmas In November at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. I can’t wait to reconnect with all of you West Coast friends, yay! I’ll be posting some great holiday recipes while I’m out there, which brings me to my next bit of exciting news…

I have a very special Christmas in November treat just for you! Order of Canada recipient Elizabeth Baird and Per la Famiglia cookbook author Emily Richards will both appear in exclusive holiday recipe videos for Weekend at the Cottage. I’ll be posting these while I’m out in Jasper.

Carol and I have blocked off an entire week in November to make our famous HOLIDAY FRUITCAKE. Go HERE for the recipe. We’re making a few extra loaves for 5 lucky subscribers; details on how to win one will be on Instagram and Twitter in the last week of November. Follow us now so you don’t miss your chance to win!

Hot on the heels of our last giveaway, we’ll be announcing the details of our next contest where you could win a stunning holiday décor item from our friends at Pottery Barn. All the exciting details will be in our December newsletter..

Remember, you can enjoy Weekend at the Cottage through all your favourite apps – subscribe to our YouTube channel, like our Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

That’s it for now, but I leave you once again with our sincere promise to keep the good food and good times coming.

Have an awesome November!

Nik & Carol
