CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER
Carol and I are on our way to the FAIRMONT JASPER PARK LODGE in Alberta to attend CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER, Canada’s premier culinary, food and drink festival. This year’s presenters include Anna and Michael Olson, Elizabeth Baird and Emily Richards, Ned Bell, Vikram Vij, Cory Christopher, Chuck Hughes and many more!. I’m hosting the event and also teaching classes on Festive Party Foods. Carol will be super-busy while we’re there too, posting photos and videos of our adventures. We’ll be broadcasting our next Facebook LIVE direct from Jasper Park Lodge on Thursday, November 2 at 12 noon EDT. We’re going to bring you our update on all of the amazing stuff happening at WATC, plus (drum roll, please) we’re going to announce the details of the incredible gift that’s up for grabs in our November Contest Giveaway.
ST. LAWRENCE MARKET
Regular subscribers know that we often reference shopping expeditions to St. Lawrence Market. On Saturday, November 18 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Weekend at the Cottage will be in the south kitchen of the Saturday Farmer’s Market, located in the white tent at Esplanade and Lower Jarvis. We’ll be serving up some delicious seasonal recipes (until we run out!) made with the superior ingredients available at the market. Hope to see you there!

We’re hoping our November lineup gets everyone revved up for the holidays. I know many of you will be amazed by LEE LUM’S FAMOUS LEMON CHICKEN, a classic recipe from NYC’s famed, but now closed, Pearl’s Restaurant. Party foods include our BAKED CRAB DIP DIABLO and the beginning of our HOLIDAY COOKIE series. We also have some stunning holiday décor ideas thanks to the talented CORY CHRISTOPHER, and finally, a pledge to make America bake again! We’ve shot a video of our now famous SPICED PUMPKIN PIE RECIPE. We’ll be posting it in time for American Thanksgiving.
