Creating a gift of many different things with a common theme – speak to your mom’s interests and show her how much you care with these MOTHER’S DAY GIFT IDEAS.

Always begin with a theme or general idea, then have fun shopping. I’m going to suggest that parents involve their kids when creating this type of gift. It’s fun for everyone and it gives the gift special significance.

Here are a few ideas I think are perfect for such a special occasion:

GARDENING: Fill a basket, planter or outdoor pot with everything from garden gloves and small tools to seed packs, plants, bug spray and a horticultural reference book.

BIG NIGHT: Assemble a selection of accessories that mom may enjoy wearing on a big night out. Things like scarves, ribbons, perfume, and jewelry like rings, bracelets, brooches and necklaces.

READ ALL ABOUT IT: Select a wide range of books and magazines plus things like a reading light, bookmark and a mug with a box of assorted herbal tea.

COOKING: We love the idea of tracking down a favorite recipe and giving mom everything she needs to create it. If it’s a pie, then gather things like a pie plate, a rolling pin, pie weights and a ravioli wheel to create lattice crusts.

HANDMADE: Of course the handmade gifts always seem to touch a mother’s heart the deepest. Presenting mom with kid’s artwork, poetry or writing will always be special.

Head out sooner than later to pick up all the special things you’ll need. MOTHER’S DAY GIFT IDEAS help to make it your own, and make a thoughtful present she won’t soon forget!
