Greetings friends,

Lots of exciting things to report this month, but before I do, how about a huge shout out to all of the new subscribers who recently joined our growing community – welcome! It’s a pleasure having you aboard.

For everyone new, be sure to check out our exclusive, password-protected LEMON MERINGUE PIE recipe. Your case-sensitive password is PUCKERUP. Hope you try it – the lemons are perfect this time of year for making this sensational pie.

And for all of you, make sure to visit our Facebook page on Wednesday, May 3 at 12 noon EDT. Carol and I will be drawing the name of the lucky winner of our Kelly Cuff Contest LIVE. Thanks to Sue Henderson from SUETABLES, we know our winner will love their personalized, sterling silver bracelet.

On to updates and exciting news.

We’ve just finished shooting a number of great videos, including a MOTHER’S DAY SUNDAE, CELEBRATORY COCKTAIL, tasty CHOPPED SALAD, a tour of the COTTAGE GARDEN and much more. Look for new posts every Tuesday and Friday, and a new City Slicker video on our YouTube channel every Wednesday.

We’re beginning our celebration of CANADA 150, and are pleased to announce that we’ll be joined by some of Canada’s most beloved foodies who will share their love of this great country! We’re starting with delicious recipes from Emily Richards and Julie Van Rosendaal, and additional guests will be joining us in the months to come.

To kick off our Canada 150 celebration, our friends from ARTS AT WORK, one of Canada’s leading purveyors of handcrafted Canadian glass art, have offered a lovely gift for our Canada 150 Giveaw-eh. One lucky winner will receive their GOOD MORNING CANADA GIFT PACK (pictured above) complete with a crested carafe, pancake mix and a jug of pure Canadian maple syrup. Full contest details will be posted on our site – all you need to do is LIKE our Facebook page for a chance to win. So easy! Arts at Work is an official licensed supplier of Canada 150 gifts. Head HERE to see their collection.

Wishing you a wonderful month, and a quick reminder to tune into CHCH Hamilton on May 16, when I’ll be showing easy make-ahead menu options perfect for cottage weekends.

As always, we’d love to hear from you. Post your comments or send us a message!

Big hugs,

Nik Manojlovich
