The idea for Resolve 2017 took shape a few months back. We were sitting on the dock up at the cottage discussing what we want to accomplish with the website in the coming year. The conversation turned towards our personal goals – time management, the extra five pounds, daily exercise, meditation – and how to make resolutions stick. We thought since we’re all in this together, let’s start the year off right with ideas and suggestions on supporting healthy living with a positive attitude.
The best way for you to enjoy the full benefits of our Resolve 2017 campaign is to follow us on Instagram where we’ll post a new recipe, idea or call to action every day. Please try to like and share these posts with your friends and also add your comments to them.
We’ll be focusing on various aspects of healthy living throughout the month, and each day of the week focuses on a specific element:
So Good Sundays – We share details on ingredients that are so good for our health everyone should be adding them to their diet.
Mantra Mondays – Quotes, ideas and wise words on helping to keep a positive attitude and achieve mental balance.
Smoothie Tuesdays – You’ll find smoothie recipes featured on our YouTube channel’s City Slicker playlist. Healthy never tasted so good!
Workout Wednesdays – We’ve called in our favourite fitness experts to share their ideas on exercises you can add into your daily routines.
Super Salad Thursdays – Healthy salad recipes you’ll enjoy for lunch or dinner.
Fresh Fruit Fridays – Fresh fruit recipes ideal for breakfast, a snack or dessert.
Start Me Up Saturdays – A spontaneous suggestion to shake up your routine with something fun.
How will this year’s resolutions be different from last year’s? Do you have a process, challenge or inspirational idea you want to share? Remember, even small changes can make surprisingly big differences, and you’re not alone on this – we are all doing it together!
That’s it for now. Hope you enjoy our start to a happy, healthy new year!
