Season’s greetings everyone!

I cannot believe we’re already a few days into December – this year went by in a flash, and before you know it, we’ll be ringing in the new year! Here’s a very quick update on what’s happening at Weekend at the Cottage over the next few weeks:

COTTAGE CLOSURE – I’m writing this newsletter from the cottage, waiting for our friend Andrew to help drain the pump system and close up the cottage for the winter (bummer). However, I shot a bunch of videos over the past few weeks, so the next few posts will still impart that cottage vibe. We’ll be shooting some new videos in the city this month – don’t worry, same relaxed take on delicious recipes and entertaining ideas in the Weekend at the Cottage state of mind.

GUEST HOST – I’ll be posting a wonderful recipe from my friend Emily Richards in a few days. We shot her marinated carrot and zucchini recipe at Christmas in November, and you’re going to love it. And for those of you excited for the Elizabeth Baird video we promised, don’t fret – it’s coming in the new year; we just got too busy!

HOLIDAY FRUITCAKE – Thanks to everyone who shared our HOLIDAY FRUITCAKE recipe, and congratulations to Susan Hanson Movat and Debby Kulchar! You won our little giveaway, and your fruitcakes are on their way! Hope you enjoy.

CITY SLICKER RECIPES – We’re continuing to produce and post our hugely popular City Slicker Recipe videos. Please remember to subscribe to our YouTube Channel PLAYLIST so you don’t miss out. We’ll post some videos of delicious party treats and lovely libations to help you get through the holidays. Enjoy!

THANK YOU – A few months back when I appeared at the Pottery Barn, I selected two pieces from their holiday collection – a set of four mugs and a stunning table runner and napkin set. We’ll be drawing the names of two lucky Weekend at the Cottage subscribers and will send these gifts off with our thanks for your support. As a subscriber, you’re already entered into the giveaway, but tell your friends to subscribe before December 15 for a chance to win one of these lovely gifts.

NEW YEAR RESOLUTION – You only need to make one New Year’s resolution this year: join us for Weekend at the Cottage RESOLVE 2017. For the entire month of January, we’ll help you eat healthy, motivate you to exercise, and stay focused on maintaining a positive mental attitude. Each day we’ll post something on INSTAGRAM that’s guaranteed to make you feel good about your resolution and yourself. We’ll also be doing the challenge with you, so stick with us for the full 31 days of healthy living. Want to join in? Click HERE to follow us on Instagram and then, get ready for the best January you ever had – we promise!

To conclude this final newsletter of 2016 – our heartfelt thanks for your continued support, and sincere best wishes for health and happiness this holiday season and into 2017!
